Buy Tickets Online This is a special fundraiser to help the Notre Dame High School Band of Sherman Oaks. They are raising money to travel to Ireland this upcoming Summer. This means a lot to my brother, Damon Tedesco and myself. Notre Dame is our Alma Mater and both of us were involved in the band. Damon played Saxophone. I would like to say, I also played Saxophone, but it was more like, "I owned a Saxophone". I joined band in 1977 to get out of Typing Class after 6 months of torture. After having my knuckles smacked a few times by a certain 'Brother Ricardo" for looking at the keyboard of the manual typewriter, I decided it was time to find another elective. I used the old, "my father, who is a professional musician, would like me to play in the band" BS line.(I never told my father this)... The dean allowed me to leave the typing class and join the band where I marched with the Banner for a year. Yes! I was the Best Banner Carrier they ever saw at that High School!!! I carried the 'O' in Notre Dame like nobody had ever seen! So I feel I can only return to my Alma Mater to give back and help these young musicians reach their goals in life.
